TEXLAXING EFFECTIVELY!

What is TEXLAXING?
It is the process of loosening your hair texture up with a chemical that allows you still have some texture in your hair instead of having bone straight hair. Hence the name texlaxing.

Who is TEXLAXING for?
People with fine hair who want fuller hair, people who get burns easily because of relaxers or have adverse reactions to relaxers due to the length of time involved in relaxing hair, people trying to transition to natural hair without doing a big chop or wanting to deal with two extreme textures.

How do you achieve texlaxed hair?
The best way to achieve texlaxed hair is with a texturizer or lye relaxer. A texturizer is made specifically to simply loosen your hair texture without straightening it completely. Lye relaxers are also recommended if you cannot find a texturizer because lye relaxers contain sodium hydroxide which has a higher ph level than no lye relaxers thereby ensuring a quicker but less damaging relaxing process on your hair.

DAILY STRETCHING

Fabila
The benefits of daily stretching go far beyond flexibility. Daily stretching can relieve and prevent aches and pains. It sends more blood to the muscles, helping them to heal more quickly. It also releases stress. However, many people are unaware of the benefits of stretching and consider it unnecessary and unimportant. As the body ages, daily stretching becomes even more important. It is therefore important to make time each day for stretching.

Neck

Many people carry excess stress in the neck muscles resulting in neck pain, stiffness, and even headaches. Adding several neck stretches to your daily routine can bring relief.
Exercise: In a standing or seated position, lower the left ear toward the left shoulder. Place the left hand on the right side of the head and gently stretch the neck a little further. Breathe deeply while completing this stretch. Repeat on the other side. Always remember to carry out neck exercises slowly and gently.

BENEFITS OF SQUATS

doubt you’ll find a fitness routine with no squats. I am very guilty of incorporating squats into most of my fitness routines, I just can’t help it. There are several squat variations one can incorporate into an exercise routine. Squats can be done using your body weight or with equipment, e.g. dumbbells or barbells. The squat position is also engaged when carrying out daily activities like sitting, while evacuating waste, talking to children, etc. Squats are effective for increasing the strength and size of the legs and buttocks, as well as developing core strength. Some benefits of the squat, when done properly, include:

ACHING BACK...WATCH THAT POSTURE!

I am quite certain that many of us have bad standing or sitting postures. If your job requires that you sit in front of the desktop all day, you most likely would be hunched for 80% of the day. This could cause pains in the lower back, hip, shoulder, knee and ankle or many other discomforts including poor breathing and low energy. This was me when I was working at my law firm. Back aches, shoulder aches and neck strains were no strangers to me, coupled with knee aches. I look back now and see why I was moody most of the day. Who would be cheerful with all of those aches!

HELP! I’M AN EXERCISE JUNKIE: ADDICTED TO EXERCISE?

Now we all know the saying that too much of everything is not good. This also goes for exercising. Too much exercising is just as bad as too little or no exercising. “Why?” you may ask, “I thought exercise was good for me.” Yes, exercise is good for you, but there are negative effects of over-training the body.
